The boundary
What this is not.
Most products describe what they do. This one has to be equally clear about what it refuses to do, because the subject is intimate and the temptation to overreach is real.
Not a chatbot companion.
This is the misreading the product is most exposed to, so it gets the longest answer. The person you rehearse with is fictional, has no name, no gender and no face, says only lines that were written and reviewed in advance, and stops after a fixed number of exchanges whether or not it felt finished.
They are not there when you close the tab. There is no relationship to return to, no memory of you, no streak to maintain, and nothing that will ever ask you to come back. Every one of those absences is deliberate. A product that keeps someone talking has an interest in keeping them talking, and that interest is not the same as theirs.
The rehearsal ends by pointing at a real human, every single time. That is not a disclaimer bolted to the end — it is the thing the whole exercise is for.
Not therapy, and not counselling.
Nobody involved in building this is a certified counsellor or a therapist. John Moelker is a pastor with one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education, and he says the same thing in person.
Nothing here assesses your relationship, diagnoses anything, or knows anything about you. The report describes what you did in one made-up conversation, and hedges everything beyond that.
Not financial advice.
The subject of the first rehearsal is debt, and at no point will anything here tell you what to do about money — yours or anybody else’s. You are never asked about your own finances.
If money is a live worry rather than a hypothetical, a financial counsellor is a real and unembarrassing option, and that is the recommendation.
Not a personality test, and not a score.
There is no score anywhere in the system. No grade, no percentage, no type, no chart, and no result to screenshot. The categories a reply can fall into carry no ranking — none of them is the right answer, and the code that generates the report has no concept of one.
What the report does is put two things next to each other: what you said you valued before you started, and what you actually did. That gap is the whole product, and it is offered as a question rather than a judgement.
Not a matching service, and not a verdict.
There is nobody to meet. This does not introduce you to anyone, does not connect you to other users, and has no social component of any kind.
And one rehearsal, of one conversation, on one evening, is not a prediction of how you would do in real life. People who freeze here manage beautifully in the room. People who breeze through here sometimes do not. It is practice, and practice is allowed to go badly.
If something in your life is heavier than a rehearsal can hold — a relationship that does not feel safe, or debt you are hiding from someone — please talk to a real person about it. Your doctor, a counsellor, or someone you trust. This is a practice tool and it is not equipped to help with that.
